Is this a Good Time to Sell or Buy Real Estate?
September 14th, 2007 3:32 PM

There have been Several Positive Recent Important Issues and Changes Effecting the Real Estate Market as well as Numerous Expected events that are helping the market to rebound. The local Inventory of available homes has started to shrink and there are many homes under contract to close. Home Prices across the board have seen an adjustment between as low as Ten Percent to as high as Forty Percent in some areas that were extremely overrated to begin with-hardly the Housing Crash as some would suggest! The Federal Reserve recently lowered the Discount Rate which is the rates at which Banks borrow money and it is reported that next week and in the coming months the Federal Funds Rate will continue to be lowered. The Federal Funds Rate is the rate that directly effects Consumer Loans.

There was a Special Session regarding Floridans Insurance Rates as mandated by our new Governor to deal with the Insurance Rate Crisis and our rates were adjusted downward. Many homeowners now have lower rates and actually also got refunds on their existing policies. In late January 2008 we will be voting on the Super Homestead Issue which is a good beginning step forward and will help decrease the amount of taxes we are now paying. This will motivate the Investors to get back in the picture and start buying homes and many families will then be able to either upgrade or downgrade from their existing homes. This will also increase the market activity. Lastly, 2008 is an election year and we all know how the Economy seems to rebound the year of an Election. Most Experts are predicting the Real Estate Market will show considerable improvement during mid to late 2008.

The bottom line is that Now is a Great time to make that move you have been considering and or to pick up an Investment Property while we are now in the Upward Cycle.
